The Daily Wire announced Wednesday the launch of DailyWire+, a new subscription-based podcast and video-on-demand streaming service that will host Dr. Jordan Peterson.
The new streaming service will be home to the company’s growing catalog of video content. The multi-year deal between Peterson and DailyWire+ will also involve the production of exclusive bonus content and the development of specials featuring Peterson and noteworthy guests.
“Obviously, there’s a huge shift in media technology from whatever was the legacy media in print, video, entertainment, and in the digital world, and clearly DailyWire+ is at the forefront of that,” said Peterson. “Partnering with a company that shares my own values for excellence and entrepreneurial vision is the natural next step for me. And, it’s time for a new adventure.”
The latest development in the illustrious and enigmatic life of Peterson follows a meteoric rise from relative obscurity as a Canadian professor, to worldwide stardom as a pre-eminent public intellectual. His latest endeavor includes the launch of a limited series, “Dragons, Monsters, and Men,” which is now available exclusively at DailyWire+.
In addition to hosting Peterson, DailyWire+ will be home to various entertainment offerings, including exclusive original movies, and beginning in 2023, kids’ entertainment content. The company has also expanded its existing deal with PragerU, which will launch a new series, “PragerU Master’s Program with Dennis Prager,” in the fall.
“The launch of DailyWire+ marks the beginning of an aggressive technological and content expansion for us,” said co-CEO Jeremy Boreing. “The addition of Dr. Jordan Peterson, the pre-eminent public intellectual of our time, should indicate exactly how serious we are about bringing quality counter-cultural voices to the fore.”
DailyWire+ announced Wednesday that Peterson had signed a multi-year deal with the company. In addition to hosting Peterson, DailyWire+ is the home to various entertainment offerings, including exclusive original movies and, soon, kids content.
The company announcement was made during a town hall address that took place at “Backstage: Live at the Ryman” on Wednesday night. The event featured cancel-proof conversation and irreverent observations, and promised to deliver a major surprise.
