Actor Kevin Sorbo Challenges Critics Claiming ‘Old White Men Can’t Decide’ Roe V. Wade With Historic Throwback Shot

Last updated on June 28, 2022

Superstar Kevin Sorbo challenged critics who are posting on social media that “old white men can’t decide what women” can do with their bodies when he posted a historic throwback shot of the justices who originally decided Roe V. Wade in 1973.

The 63-year-old TV star gave celebrities upset about the United States Supreme Court decision to overturn the landmark abortion ruling, as a result of the decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, a history lesson by posting a photo of the SCOTUS justices in 1973 who originally weighed in on exactly what women can and can’t do with their bodies, pointing out the hypocrisy of their argument.

“So, old white men can’t decide what women do with their bodies but this is who passed Roe V Wade …” the “Andromeda” star tweeted Monday to his million plus followers.

The actor’s post included a black and white photo of the then-justices of the United States Supreme Court, showing Justice Warren E. Burger along with Justice William O. Douglas, Justice William J. Brennan Jr., Justice Potter Stewart, Justice Byron White, Justice Thurgood Marshall, Justice Harry Blackmun, Justice Lewis F. Powell Jr., and Justice William Rehnquist. The photo can be seen below.

Marshall, who is also pictured, is the first African American Justice to the court.

Sorbo’s comments come following numerous NSFW videos and messages that have surfaced on social media from celebrities like singers P!nk, Phoebe Bridgers, and more after the court ruled, in a 6-3 decision, that there was no constitutional right to abortion and that abortion legislation should be left up to the states, as The Daily Wire previously reported.

American Indie star Phoebe Bridgers shouted “F*** America” during her concert at a festival in Glastonbury and asked if there were any other Americans in the audience. She then went on an NSFW rant against America and SCOTUS.

“I’m having, like, the s***tiest day,” Bridgers told the audience. “Like, are there any Americans here? Who wants to say f*** the Supreme Court on three? One, two, three — f*** the Supreme Court.”

“F*** that s***. F*** America,” she added. “Like, f*** you.”

“All these irrelevant, old motherf***ers trying to tell us what to do with our f***ing bodies.” She then finally went back to playing her guitar and singing.
